INTERVIEWS

Melissa Brownback, LPCC

Melissa and I chat about all kinds of topics related to mental health including common signs of burnout, understanding trauma, how to help others struggling with issues you haven't experienced, and how Christians can better understand and address issues of mental health.

If you want to connect with Melissa or read her work, head to melissabrownback.com and follow her on Instagram (@melissabrownback).

P.S. Melissa also wrote the appendix to All Who Are Weary! Her words are such a helpful resource, and you don't want to miss what she says.

Dr. Joel Muddamalle

In this video, Dr. Joel Muddamalle joins me to talk about guilt, shame, and condemnation. We talk about the differences between guilt, shame, and condemnation, the role of the Holy Spirit, and what it really means to be made in God’s image.

Listen in and be encouraged! You may even want to grab a pen and paper and take some notes.

To connect with Joel, follow him on Instagram (@muddamalle) or check out his website, muddamalle.com.

Dave Andersen

In this interview, I talked candidly with my dad, Dave Andersen, about how he's seen God's goodness, care, and provision in his almost 80 years of life.

We talk about what it looked like to experience supernatural peace when his helicopter was shot down in the middle of the Vietnam War, "how to glorify God when I can't pay my bills", and what it was like to walk through cancer while his wife, my mom, had cancer at the same time.

Quina Aragon

I'm so grateful to got to chat with writer, spoken word artist, and children's book author, Quina Aragon! We talk about what it looked like to walk through chronic illness, secondary infertility, church hurt, learning to lament, and how God meets us even in the midst of our pain.

Quina also shares honestly about the importance of community during hard times–and how our words and actions can help or harm someone walking through a dark season. Connect with Quina on Instagram by following @quina_aragon or find her at quinaaragon.com.
