8 Recipes to Make this Christmas Season

On Sunday night, I wrote down a to-do list that completely overwhelmed me. I know I can’t get it all done, so realistically a few tasks will get postponed or taken off the list completely. What I didn’t have on the list, though, was baking. And yet, on Monday morning while that legal pad with pages full of tasks sat on the counter, I opted to take out flour and sugar and start making cookies. A friend called it “procrasti-baking.” That name fits perfectly. And what better time is there than the Christmas season to procrasti-bake?

To help you in your procrasti-baking and procrasti-cooking (that doesn’t have quite the same ring to it), I’ve rounded up 8 recipes that are perfect for the Christmas season. A few of these—Swedish Tea Ring, Double Chocolate Christmas Cookies, Glogg, and Mom’s Homemade Eggnog—have been tried-and-true favorites in my family. The others are newer favorites I’ve created in the past couple years, and I hope you like them as much as I do!

Realistically, you probably have to cook or bake something for a holiday party, Christmas breakfast, or cookie exchange, right? So maybe these recipes will help you get something done on your to-do list after all. Enjoy!
